Suzan Alteri, librarian for the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children’s Literature, won a silver medal in the Visual Arts category of the Florida Book Awards for her edited collection, "B is for Baldwin: An Alphabet Tour of the Baldwin Library of Historical Children’s Literature." Lushly illustrated, the book features 26 short essays by international and national children’s literature scholars featuring items from the Library and offers a glimpse into the rarities and wonders of children’s literature. The Florida Book Awards are given annually to books featuring Florida or by Florida authors. Florida Book Award-winning books are on permanent display in the library at the Governor's Mansion in Tallahassee, and in an exhibit case on the third floor of Florida State University's Strozier Library.
Julie Renee Moore, catalog librarian for the Special Collections Research Center, has a chapter accepted in the upcoming volume, Inclusive Cataloging: Philosophical Questions and Case Studies in Reparative Cataloging. Moore is the chair of this writing collaboration with CSU Unified Library Management System Inclusive Description Task Force members. The working title of the book chapter is "Inclusive Cataloging in an Academic Library Consortium."
Candace Egan, professor, Media, Communications and Journalism, is the recipient of the Stacy Davis Fellowship for Stowe.
