Join the Sustainability Club at its annual Earth Day celebration. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
This event will bring together organizations who work to protect people and the planet, including local businesses, campus organizations, and local nonprofits. All members of the campus community are invited to learn more about these groups and how to contribute to a more sustainable Central Valley. Attendees can also enjoy an environmentally-focused art exhibition, an upcycle station where people can take or leave items for free, and a photo booth. These and other organizations will demonstrate how they contribute to our community while protecting the environment.

Location: Memorial Garden, the grass area in front of the Kennel Bookstore
Some organizations confirmed to appear include: Jan and Bud Richter Center, Geology Club, Water, Energy, and Technology Center, U.S. Green Building Council, the Central California Environmental Justice Network, the California High Speed Rail, and Mid Valley Disposal. Schedule permitting, Victor E. Bulldog IV will stop by to show his love for people and the environment by taking photos with attendees. Earth Day Fresno’s annual Earth Day festival will return for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is open to the public and admission is free.
This event will feature activities for the whole family. Kids can enjoy hands-on crafts, science experiments, a scavenger hunt and more. Green vendors will be present, including those selling items like low-waste refillable essentials, aromatherapy products or efficient home appliances. The Geology and Sustainability Clubs, and possibly the Physics Outreach team, will host educational booths for those interested in learning more about science and how to use science to study and protect the environment.
The Electric Vehicle Equity Program will inform attendees on state rebates that can be used to save money when purchasing an electric vehicle; they will also be hosting free electric vehicle test drives from Tesla, Kia, Nissan, Ford and others provided by the Clean Vehicle Empowerment Collaborative. There will be free bike valet parking and a bike clinic offered by the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition, as well as numerous music and dance performances by local artists throughout the day.
