The Department of Communicative Sciences and Deaf Studies is commemorating the 200th Anniversary of Deaf Education with a series of events on campus aimed toward the deaf and hard of hearing community.
This includes the Celebration of Diversity, which brings hundreds of deaf and hard of hearing students to Fresno State to learn and engage in activities with each other; The Silent Garden Lecture, featuring Irma Sanchez, who will talk about how deaf education professionals can work with the Spanish-speaking community; and a community event that will bring deaf and hard of hearing professionals together for an interactive panel.
