Jeff Hill is a library technician who retired after 41 years with the University. Dr. Joan K. Sharma is a professor of art and design.

Artist Statement: Joan K. Sharma

“Blue Whirl” is a playful abstract image series in which I use gestural camera movement and slow shutter speeds to create expressive compositions with diaphanous blue color. Planning for the wall installation required reflection and experimentation. The title references a 2016 discovery for a clean burning blue flame.
