Please join us for the sixth annual LGBTQIA2S+ prom (also known as Grom) from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at the Smittcamp Alumni House. And the category is … Pride! With a Pride Ball theme, we are excited to share this important moment with you.

Every year, LGBTQ+ Programs and Services works to organize an LGBTQIA2S+ prom event that gives students, faculty, staff, and community members the opportunity to attend a dance free of judgment. LGBTQIA2S+ high school students often face barriers to attending prom as their true selves compared to their peers and may feel uncomfortable expressing their gender identity or attending with the person they’d like to, due to fears of exclusion. That’s why hosting Grom 2025 at Fresno State is so meaningful — it celebrates this important milestone in students’ educational and social journeys while creating new, lasting memories. This event is open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members. To attend, you must be 18 or older and present your ticket receipt at the entrance. Please be sure to save your receipt for entry.

This event is a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment.

LGBTQIA2S+ Prom Prices:

Student Fee: $12.00
This fee includes one ticket to the Prom. Student I.D.’s will be checked at the door so please bring your student ID.

Community Member Fee: $14.00
This fee includes one ticket to the Prom. Community members are kindly requested to bring a valid I.D. for verification at the door.

Group Fee: $48.00
If you would like to purchase tickets for yourself and a group of friends, this option is for you. This fee will get you 5 tickets to the prom. This option is available to students, staff, faculty and community members.

Doubles Fee: $18.00
Planning on bringing someone to the prom? Purchase a ticket for yourself and your significant other at a discount! This option is available to students, staff, faculty and community members.
