Fresno State alumnus Gary Watahira brings over 30 years of experience in municipal government, serving primarily in leadership and management roles with the City of Fresno. He concluded his public service career as the finance director for the City of Sanger, where he oversaw fiscal strategy, operations and organizational leadership.
Following his retirement from government service, Watahira now operates a martial arts school dedicated to training working professionals and business owners. His approach emphasizes skill development, clarity under pressure and the practical application of martial principles to leadership, decision-making and everyday life.
