While we’re all sheltering in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Staff Assembly Executive Committee is calling on you to explore your artistic talents, create something inspirational and share your gifts with the virtual community.
At 3 p.m. Friday, May 29, the Staff Assembly Executive Committee and Fresno State sponsors, the Department of Art and Design and Department of Viticulture and Enology, will host an online happy hour featuring art work by faculty and staff and an appearance by Fresno State’s Provost Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval via Zoom for Multiverse: Creating Beyond Our Scope - A broad look at the creative artworks by Fresno State employees.
This is the time to pick up your paintbrush, camera or pencil and use your imagination to create spectacular works to post on social media. The Department of Art and Design will be accepting jpeg and video art entrees from Fresno State artists during the first week of May 2020.
This is a juried exhibition and faculty members in each area of emphasis (painting/drawing, ceramics/sculpture, printmaking/photography, animation) will make final decisions on selected Best of Show winners. Two selected members of the art community will jury the awards. A People's Choice Award will be voted upon online via a link provided by the SAEC Virtual Art Showcase Subcommittee and Department of Art and Design.
If you’re interested in submitting artwork for the online exhibition and prize competition, please click on the link below and fill out the interest form. We will be sending you more information in a couple of weeks!
