Effective Coping Strategies for Mental Well Being
Long after vaccines have tamed the physical impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the toll on mental health will linger. Rates of depression and anxiety are rising while there is a decline in overall well-being. There is no better time than now to assess how you, your friends and family are doing and to choose some practical, immediate ways to cope better.
Objectives:
- Recognize how this pandemic has triggered mental health struggles.
- Assess how you are doing and know when you or someone might need extra support.
- Choose from some practical coping strategies, some that can provide quick relief.
- Know how your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can help you and your family members.

CSUBUY Marketplace is a CSU system wide initiative to streamline the purchasing and payment processes on campus. Training will review how to navigate through the CSUBUY Marketplace and ordering from the 22 vendors in the marketplace.
CSU Collaboration Trainings
Fresno State is participating in a CSU cross-campus professional development collaboration program which allows employees to participate in select workshops offered by other CSU campuses. Space is limited and registration closes 48 priors to the session. The facilitator will send the Zoom link before the class begins.
Exposing Hidden Bias

Join us for an important discussion that brings attention to the unconscious biases we all possess and provides some strategies for overcoming its impact in our work and relationships. Come learn about diversity and inclusion, how to recognize areas where unconscious bias may surface, identify strategies for avoiding bias, and learn of resources available for additional learning and involvement.
SMART Goals
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15, Zoom
The SMART Goals approach utilizes behavior-based science and principles of human motivation to provide clarity, focus, and motivation to increase the probability of achieving a goal.
This “hands-on” workshop will allow participants to create meaningful and effective SMART goals in real time as we take a process-oriented, step-by-step approach to exploring the functionality of SMART goals and what makes them so effective.
Participants will utilize behavior mapping techniques and a SMART Goal Development Guide to prioritize, develop, and implement SMART goals in both personal and professional settings. Participants will be able to apply knowledge and skills developed in this workshop to personal goals, department, team and project goals, as well as to employee Individual Development Plans and performance evaluations.
Virtual Facilitation
9 a.m. – noon Friday, April 16, Zoom
This three-hour workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn skills and techniques that are crucial to facilitating virtual activities successfully. Whether you host meetings, facilitate trainings, or present to large groups, this class will provide best practices that effective facilitators employ to ensure the highest levels of engagement from participants. Learners will walk away with a toolkit of options they can use in their next virtual meeting or facilitation opportunity. Topics covered:
