Iris Levesque, administrative assistant, Auxiliary Services, and former administrative assistant to Naismith 2013 Hall of Fame Coach Jerry Tarkanian was honored as Fresno's District 4 Woman of the Year during Women's History Month.

Fresno City council members recognized women in each of the districts for their service and impact on the community. She founded a nonprofit, Let the Kids Skate 501C3, to help bring in-line hockey to Fresno. She secured funds, equipment, places to play, working with the city and the NHL. Read more here.

Dr. Anil Shrestha, chair of viticulture and enology, received an Editor's Citation for Excellence Award for his outstanding service as an associate editor for the Agronomy Journal, published by the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America and Soil Science Society of America.
